The totem was a proposal for an installation in my college. The proposal concept was a totem with various forms cutout using simple 3 dimensional geometries. The totem is then sliced into layers that can be rotated. The result is formation of complex geometries on the facade of the totem. The proposal sought to essentially be an exercise for students to depart from traditional forms into more experimental speculative forms. For this the column as a starting point was symbolic and the totem a lesson.
